Braxton Hicks?

G

Can anyone explain what these actually feel like? I’ve googled it and read the articles but it’s not that helpful.

I was on my feet for 11.5 hours of a 12 hour shift in a hospital. We worked through lunch and the only reason I got to sit down was for paperwork.

Now I’m having some pain on the right side of my lower back near my hip and pain in my abdomen that feels similar to gas building, but there is no gas. It all lasts about 30 seconds and then goes away completely.

I would just go back to work and get checked out, but I work in a hospital that doesn’t have a maternity anything. My OB office is a 1.5 hour drive one way, and so is the nearest hospital that delivers babies.

I’m hoping just laying down with my feet up will help whatever this is pass. I’m not bleeding at all or anything like that. I’ve lost 7 babies over the years to premature delivery. One would think I should know, but the others happened so fast with almost no sign of labor so I’m not entirely sure what I’m feeling here.
