Concealer?

Is concealer supposed to be a true match shade or lighter? Like if I want to put it under my eyes? I usually just use foundation but want to get into makeup a little more.

I think it’s supposed to be a shade or two lighter. It helps counteract the darkness, and actually makes my face look a lot different. Even if I only wear concealer

I do a true match, I'm already really pale so lighter under there just looks ghostly

It’s more of what you prefer ! Sometimes I do same shade & sometimes I do a shade lighter just to brighten up that area! Don’t apply foundation under your eyes . Just concealer ! So it doesn’t look cakey!!
