Today I was called by my doctors office with the results of our NIPT test and happy to report we are having a healthy baby girl! The amount of relief I am feeling is so hard to describe. Our first child who did not survive pregnancy, had positive results for Down syndrome from the NIPT test, so the chances of our second child having it were higher, 1:100 rather than the 1:350 our first child had(I’m 37yrs old btw so higher). I’ve lived with the fear of this for 6 months, every day since the loss of our last, and now for the first time I can breathe easy and actually make plans for this little girl 💗 if you are over 35 I do encourage getting the test done, so worth it
