How do I get rid of bottles?

Help me! My LO has drank from a sippy since she was 6 months old. She’s 14 months now but refuses to drink anything but water from her sippy. I’ve tried milk (cold & warm), juice, smoothies, coconut water and she just refuses to drink anything from her sippy unless it’s water. Do I show tough love and say ok No more bottle and take it away? I’ve tried every sippy cup under the sun, Nuk, munchkin toss and throw straw cups, munchkin 360 trainer cups, advent sippys and I just got the Boon bottle with the sippy spout and still she refuses. I want to Nix these bottles soooo bad but know she will not drink her milk. Any suggestions will be helpful!

We dropped it cold turkey and switched to sippy cups a week before our 1st birthday. I really thought it was going to be so hard because of how much he loved his bottle but it was like he never even knew it existed..

No joke - after three kids I finally found the perfect sippy cup. And it’s 96 cents!! Easiest to clean, spill proof, and cheap enough that if it gets lost or gets gross (we’ve all left a sippy cup full of milk in a hot car, come onnnn), you just toss it and no biggie. It comes in a bunch of colors too. My son went cold turkey from the bottle to this sippy cup at 11 months old and not a single issue. These are from Walmart 😁

Honestly, probably not the best way to go about it, but I started giving my son silly cups at night n nap time feedings. And he got used to milk in a sippy. Then I started just giving him milk in the sippy throughout the day (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) and took nap and night feedings away. (= hasn’t complained about no bottles (= hope this helps. It only took a couple days.

I honestly would just say cut the bottles cold turkey. Doctors try to say to have them off by 1 because they start getting more teeth and bottles can cause tooth decay. Continue to offer her milk in other sippys. If you haven’t tried the munchkin weighted straw cup it’s great and the only cup my daughter will use. If you cut the bottles and keep offering it in sippys eventually she’s gonna learn that that is the only way you are going to offer it and she will have to get used to jt

My daughter had trouble dropping bottles. We did it cold turkey.

We are doing that next month at 15 months old but my baby only has 4-5 teeth
