Is it normal?

Is it normal that I'm scared and don't want to take a pregnancy test incase of being let down?im currently 18dpo and 7 days late on my period and me and my partner are ttc, my boobs are achy and quite sore.. But tomorrow I'm joining a new doctors as I've moved county and I'll obviously have to go for a new patients checkup etc, will they ask me if I'm sexually active or if I'm pregnant? Obviously I'll be honest but I'm scared to take a test beforehand? I'm scared if I am pregnant as I had a miscarriage in July and it's like a fear that it will happen again😕 any advice?
