When did you know to go to ER?

I have been really sick, not able to eat but maybe one meal a day, if that. I am 8 weeks pregnant today. Today I woke up feeling SOB and with a low heart rate, no energy to even stand up. Wondering if lack of food and liquid is finally hitting me if I need to go into the hospital for fluids or what. When have you guys gone in? What were your symptoms? I know this probably seems stupid but don't want a huge bill for nothing.

I would call your doctor. They had me come on for fluids with them so I didn’t have to pay for an ER visit.

since I wasn’t keeping food or liquids down I called my nurses hotline through my insurance and she told me I could go to urgent care and ask for IV fluids to make sure I’m hydrated. The second time I got IV fluids I was at my first prenatal appointment and asked if I needed to continue going to urgent care if I needed fluids and she ended up just giving it to me after the appointment was over. If that’s an option for you I’d take the urgent care option since it’s usually a lot cheaper than the ER.
