Went to an ultrasound & was told baby had no heart beat ?

I went to an ultrasound today Bc I had been having some light spotting and today I was told they couldn’t find a heart beat and the baby was measuring 3 weeks behind what it should have been at .. how is it possible

Unfortunately it happens a lot. Its a missed miscarriage. When i had my miscsrriage i had one spot of blood. No cramps not a lot of blood, like literally a pinky nail amount of blood once!  Four weeks later i still hadnt passed the fetus. I had to take the pill to start to pass it.

I’m hoping a positive out come for you hun, how may weeks pregnant should you be ? Did they offer you a rescan? It is possible your dates are wrong and baby is not big enough to see a heartbeat yet. I personally didn’t have a good out come. I was meant to be 10wks and baby only measured 6wks 1day and no heartbeat even thou 10days before that I saw a heartbeat just baby was smaller than he/she should have been it’s what they call a silent or missed miscarriage. Please don’t blame yourself if it is bad news it is not your fault at all nothing you could have done or didn’t do anything would have changed the outcome feel free to message me if you wanna talk.

It’s something that just happens sometimes unfortunately who knows what could’ve went wrong. Hopefully a miracle happens and this is not the case for you.
