6 week old nap time?

Should I be waking my baby from his naps during the day? I know some books say 2 hours is long enough but I feel bad if he’s so tired! Any thoughts?

i didn’t put my son on a “schedule” until he was 6 months. a 6 week old is still just eating & sleeping lol

I always woke my kids up every 3hrs to eat. I never let them sleep past that during the day

I woke my baby up after 2 hours of napping or if it had been 3 hours since he ate. He’s been a great night time sleeper and I think me doing that was part of it! I also think it helped him figure out the difference between days and nights quicker. 
But, do whatever you want/whatever works. If he’s happy sleeping and it’s not causing you issues at night then let him sleep. But I wouldn’t feel bad about waking him up at 2 hours either! Just find whatever works for you.

Absolutely wake your baby to feed them. That is still so young and while they do need a lot of sleep they need a lot of food more.
