Strep ??

Question

I just had strep throat and then I got it again after finishing antibiotics so I went on more antibiotics and now my tonsils are still swollen after finishing antibiotics but don’t hurt as bad and google has me thinking it’s tonsil cancer ??? Now I’m scared. Has anyone’s tonsils ever been so swollen and red before??

I’ve suffered from strep since middle school (mid 20s now) and a few years ago it got to the point where it would take two rounds of antibiotics to make it go away. One time, after 2 rounds, it came back a week later. It was terrible. Antibiotics stopped working as well on me. I ended up getting my tonsils removed a year ago at 23 years old and it was the worst pain ever. But i haven’t been sick sense. I got COVID and only had a headache.

My brother had strep then kept getting tonsillitis it came back like 4-5 times. Turns out the whole time his wisdom teeth were infected. He got them taken out and the tonsillitis never came back. If your tonsils keep getting infected after multiple rounds of antibiotics I would try to go to the dentist incase it’s something like an infected tooth.

Stay off Google. Don't ask strangers to diagnose something wrong literally can't help with. Only a SWAB can detect strep. Go see doc again. Maybe you just need the green gargle stuff. But talk to a proper medical professional
