Surgery yesterday

So, I went to the hospital to have surgery yesterday and was going through the preop process, when the nurse came in and handed me a paper. On it was typed “hcg positive” with all my information on the top. I couldn’t stop laughing. About two years ago my partner and I lost a baby at about ten weeks, and we were just starting to discuss trying again. We were able to do surgery under local instead of general, but it was the surprise I never expected. I even came home and did a test just so I could see it. I am so afraid of what might happen, but I keep reminding myself that I have two perfect boys and this would be a blessing and not a necessity. But I really hope she(again hope) stays around!
