What to expect at the 20 week anatomy scan?

What can I expect when I go in for my anatomy scan? I read on my paper I was given that I have to drink plenty of water for a full bladder. Will my obgyn do the ultrasound?

Answer

When I had mine, I was supposed to have a full bladder. They measured bone lengths, looked at organs to make sure they're forming correctly, looked at the chambers of the heart for defects, looked at the brain, looked at the placenta, and try to find out gender if you'd like. An ultrasound tech did my entire scan, but a more in-depth explaination happened at my next regular visit with my midwife.

Answer

Mines was opposite they had me empty my bladder. It took about 30mins to an hour. They first did a ultrasound of my cervix. Then they did the belly ultrasound,  they took pictures of all the organs,  lips, spine and skull. 
Then the doctor came in to check the babies heart.
