Are cough drops safe to take during pregnancy?

I have a bad cough and wondering if cough drops are ok to take when you're pregnant. Any cough drops. Also got an inhaler from the pharmacy today doctor recommended it for me. First time sick during pregnancy so need advice over here

I don't have any personal experience, but I know my sister used them, but she made sure to get the all natural honey-based ones. And she used lemon and honey as a cough suppressant at night instead of an actual medicine.

I'm facing the same right now! I've been suffering through the last few days (when it first started coming on) but now my son is knocked out with a bad cold and I'm still feeling crappy. It's hard being prego and sick with a sick 3 year old to care for as well. I'm going to soon give in to some drugs so my head will quit pounding against my skull! I took cough drops while pregnant with my son, I just tried not to eat too many. I only sucked them when I literally couldn't take the sore throat and cough anymore. Hope you find some relief soon!
