How many ounces ?

Question

I’m returning to work when baby is 12 weeks old. I’m wanting to pump and freeze some milk before hand just in case my supply decreases or daycare over feeds when I return to work. 
My question is how many ounces should I be freezing together? 3 or 4  ounces? Some of each? I’m so clueless. 
What do you send with your baby? She’ll be at daycare for a little over 9 hours a day. 
Also when should I introduce a bottle?

My daughter is 9 months and still only takes 4-3oz bottles during the day at daycare. I’m glad I did it in increments of 3 Oz when freezing.

Generally it’s 1oz per hour away. So if you normally nurse every 2hrs, you’d want to pump 2oz to feed your baby at the missed feeding.

Given that you’re going back to work at 12wks. I did the same also. I wouldn’t even worry about pumping until 9wks or so. Absolutely no need to prior to that. And definitely not before 6wks as you’re supply needs to regulate. 
No need to introduce a bottle until about that time too. 9wks.

First ? How is baby now???? This is Will determine when to start storing and introducing bottle. 
Also 3-4oz a bag is all you need to freeze at a time. Baby won’t need more than 4oz a feeding the entire time receiving breastmilk. Make absolutely sure baby is pace fed.

Introduce a bottle at around a month. Her latch should be well established at that point and there shouldn’t be any nipple confusion. It’s recommended not to start pumping into 6 weeks or so when your supply has regulated. 
My son started daycare at 12 weeks and I sent him with 3pz bottles. He never wanted more than 3.5 oz at a time the whole time he used bottles, but all babies are different. He ate every 2 hours like clockwork so I sent enough bottles to match his needs.
