🐠 Moms to 6lb babies! Did you use preemie size?

I’m having my second at 37 weeks & im guessing she’ll be little, around 6 pounds, I’m just wondering if anyone with 6 pounders used preemie or went straight to newborn clothes.

i was 39w with a 6lb baby she didn’t fit in any of her newborn clothes they swallowed her i had to go buy her preemie clothes bc i had none 🤷🏽‍♀️ if you don’t mind the baggy look then it shouldn’t matter

My daughter was 6.14. when she was born, newborn was definitely big on her but  she fit them for almost 3 months so that was great.

My daughter was 6lb exactly. We used newborn - 0 month size clothes, and she still fits in them at 5 weeks.

We used preemie for several weeks. My daughter was 5lbs.

We went straight to newborn, mostly because we didn’t have premie lol. We probably could’ve used a couple of premie outfits. But i also wouldn’t rescanned spend money on very many, and it didn’t really matter if some things were a little big. 
I do wish I would’ve had a small pack of premie diapers! Baby was born 6#1oz, when he dropped down into the 5lb range he was just slightly too small for newborn diapers and was leaking out the sides. Once he gained weight again back into the mid 6lb range he stopped leaking through them

My girl was 6lbs and we had premie clothes and it was so nice. I’m glad I bought them especially the ones with the hand covers built in. She was drowning in the newborn sizes. I would pick up at least 3 just to have.

My LO was 5lbs 5oz and we used newborn cause we didn’t have premie and I didn’t want to buy something she wouldn’t wear long anyways. It was big but we didn’t care

My son was 6lb 12oz and we used preemie for about two weeks.

I had my daughter at 38+4 and she was 6lb 0.4oz and 18.5 inches. Newborn clothes were a tad loose on her, but the length was perfect so I don’t think she would have fit in preemie clothes. She wore newborn sleep and plays (the outfits with the enclosed feet, long sleeves, etc) for a month, but she fit newborn bodysuits for 2 months.
