Are you still working from home?

Our office is wanting people to go back a few days per week, but due to pregnancy I feel much safer at home. What is everyone else doing?

Never going back to the office. I know I’m lucky my bosses support that. My husband actually received a new job offer that requires us to move 800 miles to another state. I talked to my employer and they approved for me to move and keep my job. So we are moving in two weeks.

I work in a hospital so I’ve been here in person everyday since this whole thing started and obviously since day 1 of pregnancy. Haven’t had any issues or felt unsafe 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve even worked 1 on 1 with Covid positive patients for 45 minutes at a time, obviously with proper PPE.

Starting next week I’m supposed to go back 2 days a week which is ridiculous cause I’m doing the exact same thing at home. I work for a large company so I highly doubt they will accommodate me.

I work in childcare, so staying home hasn’t been an option.

I work as an emergency room nurse practitioner haha so I’m never home but have remained safe thank god!

I also feel much safer at home but, I have a new manager and she just doesn’t care. I’ve had some tech issues due to their system so to completely avoid them she permanently set it up for me to go back into office. Originally we were supposed to go 5 days a month. So it’s irritating. Especially since I have a 1 year old at home and don’t feel comfortable putting her in daycare. I keep telling myself it’ll only be for almost 4 months since I will be going on leave starting Jan 1st.

I work for a casino in the call center my dr put in a request for me to work from home and my employer approved it.

My company tried to make me come back and I told them because of my pregnancy I do not feel comfortable. I spoke with HR and they told my boss she cannot force me to come back. We share bathrooms in my office and I cannot breath in a mask all day while pregnant I get very overheated and feel like I am going to faint. If your boss is giving you an issue bring your concerns to HR.

I was required to go back 100% on June 1. Around beginning of august I felt uncomfortable bc of Delta and unvaccinated coworkers, so I work from home again though others do not. Just talk to your boss and see what your options are
