What advice would you give your 18 year old self?

I turned 18 back a few months ago and adulthood is definitely overwhelming sometimes. Would love some love advice if you feel up to it ❤️

Its ok to say “no” if you don’t feel comfortable or if you don’t want to do something. 
I mean in all walks of life. If you don’t want to do an extra shift say no when they ask. If you don’t want to meet up with someone for any reason say no. If something feels off don’t do it.

I'd tell myself to take care of MYSELF more and NOT other people's responsibilities, even family. Focus on what I want to do, not what others want me to do for their benefit.

I'd honestly tell myself to stay single. To focus on myself and to figure out my path in life. Go to college and make something for myself. Also don't miss out on moments with friends, go have fun, explore new things, and spend more time with family.

Balance. Have fun, work hard and get plenty of rest.
You're your biggest critic, don't over analyze every decision you make because you think other people will think some type of way.
Don't take out more in student loans than you can make in one year from your salary in whatever field you're trying to go into.
Friends aren't always permanent and that's okay. 
Learn boundaries and learn how to be a better communicator (?).

My advice to myself would’ve been DUMP HIM he’s just a waste of time and energy 😅
But also, you’re still so young. You don’t have to have life figured out yet, there is so much ahead of you. So try to focus on yourself and figure out what makes you happy in life, get to know yourself as an adult. Invest in real friends not partying friends. Write down goals and pursue them. Buying a house, furnishing it, things that at 18 I thought were unattainable but every dollar gets you closer to that goal and it’s not unattainable. I met my husband at 22 and we built our life together and all is good but I wasted a lot of time feeling lost and feeling like I’d never have what I truly wanted in life and here I am at 31 with everything I ever wanted. I would’ve wasted less time on idiots had I known what was ahead of me. So make sure to value yourself enough to take care of yourself and invest in yourself.

Don’t get that matching tattoo with your boyfriend. Your relationship will be toxic and you will break up. Then you will need to spend hundreds of dollars covering it up. 
And don’t get that Freddy Krueger tattoo on your calf neither. Right now you think it’s cool, but you will regret it.
