Will the hair change

Question

I’m black her dad is black and white. She is 1 will her hair texture stay this way. I’ve never used any product beside coconut oil. Her hair is so beautiful I’m just curious will it stay curly since she 1 or can it still change. It’s beautiful and perfect  just like her either way.

My daughter had white blonde curly hair until she turned 3. All of the sudden it fell out and was replaced by straight dark reddish brown, that she has now at 15. So my answer is who knows! 🤷‍♀️😂

Hair can change in so many ways throughout childhood and adolescence but I'd say what she has now is probably close to what she will end up with.

My son's hair was straight, short and brown at 12 months. At 15 months it grew out blonde and started to curl, now at 18 months it's still curly and blonde but I'm sure it will change again before he's an adult.

My cousin had hair like that at a year old. My mom would do 2 cornrows with barrettes. I swear we blinked and it was down her back just as curly. My biggest advice is camb and brush it daily just to keep those tight curls from tangling and dreading

So beautiful! their hair changes a lot a lot, even once they are older. My hair still was changing even around 9 years old, even after pregnancy it changes a bit. My oldest’s red curly hair has transformed so much I just keep wondering where it will settle! (So much so that people ask if I dye his hair 🙄 I don’t of course!) 
But either way your baby’s hair is beautiful, I hope it stays! 💕

Those curls 😍 I'd imagine if you both have curly hair, hers is likely to get thicker and curlier. My nieces are the same mix as her and had similar hair at her age. Now they have crowns of the most beautiful tight curls.

Could. My husband had pin straight silky hair all throughout his childhood and as soon as puberty hit, his Dominican roots came out.

Her texture can change up until about 24 months. Typically the texture that baby has then is what baby keeps.
