Naming 3rd boy Dads name?

I’m having a debate with family so give me your opinion. Is it wrong/weird to name any son after the 1st born son, so in our case our 3rd son, after my husband?

I think traditions are what make things *seem* normal or abnormal. So much of what we do is guided by social norms. I don’t see any problem with naming your third after your husband. Just be prepared for other people to have comments about it until they get used to hearing it. 
You could always name your son’s middle name after your husband’s first name. Or even give him your husband’s middle name. 
“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” You name your baby what YOU want.

I feel weird about it but probably unnecessarily so.  I debated using my middle name as a girl middle name but I’ve already had 2 daughters I didn’t use it for 😂 so it feels weird to do it now

We carried on middle names only. My husband is the third but I hate the idea of two of the same names in a family soo I broke the chain and our son will not be the fourth 🤷🏼‍♀️
