Bleeding for 3 days … ??

I had my period starting on august 13 thru the 16 then it stopped completely for 2 days then on that third day I passed a clot that looked exactly like during my period (sorry if tmi) then following that I had spotting for 3-4 more days. How do I record this? Is it still classified as my period or is it spotting ?? Also is spotting for awhile after a period something that should be checked out ? Thanks in advance!
