Spirit/ghost/entity

So my mums partner Scott separated from his wife last year and moved into what we call the country house

And we have always come here in the weekend and the most we have stayed is around 5 days and for the NZ lockdown we have come out here. We don’t own this house and it is on our friends farm. This house is vey old, I t ink it’s around 100 years old and there has been an extension done on it. Anyway I’m in one of the original rooms and just tonight I keep on hearing heaps of unidentifiable noises and I’m really quite petrified like I hear knocking through my walls,popping sounds from the roof, kitchen and the closet area and also weird kind of loud coughing noises coming from outside maybe that one is from the cows but u don’t think so. Everyone is still asleep because it is 5:37am. Do you guys think there is a possibility that there is a spirit because I have never thought that until tonight and if yes what do I do to help it move on?
