Yes. It reset my mindset. Each time I felt like a chocolate bar, I remembered my effort on the treadmill.  It's also good for your mental health.

It all depends on what you’re eating in your lifestyle. If you’re eating for big Macs a day, and then going to the gym, probably isn’t gonna be beneficial. Because it’s over 1000 cal per big Mac, weight loss begins with you. Working out is only 1/4 of the results. It’s really only 98% of your day. The rest of your day as what is more important. Step one is making sure you’re getting enough sleep, when you don’t sleep enough your body releases hormones that cause you to not only gain weight, but binge, bloat, and crave. Step two is going to be your hydration, water is the baseline for everything, it balances your salt and your sugar intake, it fuels all of your cells, weed when you don’t get enough water, your body retains water, and again those back to the bloating etc. The next step is going to be your nutrition. How you feel your body. I Pro Tien, high-fiber, low salt, low sugar, natural sugars OK like fruits and vegetables, but basically if you’re eating for big Macs a day, you’re probably not gonna lose weight, do you want foods that walk on the earth and grow on the earth, am I saying you can never have dessert or treats ever again, absolutely not, but when you start eating better, your body will not be able to tolerate the bad things, I have not been able to eat McDonald’s in over four years, because it goes right through me. Your body will release what no longer serves you. Your taste buds will change in 10 days, if you can stick with eating better. And when you deny yourself some thing, of course you’re going to crave and that’s the one thing you want and any chance you get, of course you’re gonna want to binge eat whatever you’re denying yourself. So don’t deny yourself things, but at the same token adding good things slowly, and slowly your body will not want those bad things anymore. Not to mention your skin will clear up, because you’re no longer eating processed foods, the chemicals, soy, gluten, caramel coloring, and so many other things that can break out your skin. And finally some kind of movement. Whether it is walking, dancing, going to the gym, and strength training, but strength training is excellent for weight loss, your build the muscle so you don’t get injured when you do cardio, you don’t go from 0 to 100 and injure yourself. You gradually build up. It’s not like you’re going to go to the gym and lift a refrigerator, slowly but surely build your way up. Because obviously want to avoid getting injured. That’s basically it. It starts with your mindset, because you can’t hate yourself skinny. You can’t doubt your abilities, in anything or any goal in life you can’t hate yourself and out your abilities to get a promotion at work, start with the mindset, and go from there. ￼￼￼￼￼￼

The gym won’t help you lose weight if you eat like trash. If you can’t do both simultaneously to start - focus on your diet first, then focus on the gym.

The reason I say kinda is because until I can have self discipline an motivation. The only way ima stick with working out or trying to eat right is actually going to the gym. I can’t get motivated at home it’s so many distracting things that goes on . I’m currently thinking about starting this journey once again. I plan to go to the gym 3 times a week an walk the days i don’t go.

Going to the gym is an important part of my health and wellness maintenance but different things work for different people. Figure out what you can commit to, what you enjoy, and build your plan accordingly. Investing your time and resources in your health is a good investment, but that investment can take many forms.

Weight loss happens in the kitchen, fitness happens in the gym. To lose weight you need a calorie deficit-however you do that. Moving more will absolutely help you achieve that deficit. But don’t expect the gym alone to help you lose a significant amount of weight.
