1st appointment- what to expect?

Hi everyone- first time mom here! I have my first OB appointment on September 1st and I will be 6 weeks 1 day at that time. What should I expect? Will I have an ultrasound?

I have my first appointment tomorrow. I’ll let you know what they do. I’ll only be 4w6d based on ovulation (which I know for sure) but I think they scheduled me based on LMP which was 7/12 (birth control withdrawal period) which would make me 6w2d. I doubt they will be doing an ultrasound but we’ll see. I think all offices are different too.

Because of my past miscarriages and ectopic pregnancy,I've had..a pee test..TWICE...then 3 days after they took blood...and retested 3days after that..which my hcg almost tripled...then...sent me for an ultrasound that same day..I would've been 5 or so weeks at the time..they couldn't see anything but a sac..I was rescheduled to 2 weeks which by then they saw baby and heartbeat..and now I'm scheduled to see ob/gyn 02nd September

For mine they only did an ultrasound - no blood or urine testing or anything. Didn’t meet with my OB so didn’t even really find out any info. And now I have a second ultrasound next week.

I had an ultrasound at my first appointment, but I was with a fertility clinic so I’m not sure if that’s a normal thing they do everywhere.

Every place is different. Where I live now they just have you pee in a cup and then set up an appointment with for an ultrasound. It’s usually a different day. Where I lived previously they did an ultrasound on me the first appointment.

I’m fairly certain you’ll get an ultrasound because they want to hear the heartbeat and check to see how many you are carrying.
