For the past month my almost 8 month old baby has been waking in the night and we’ve had a lot of trouble putting him back to sleep. If mommy (me) tries to get him to sleep, it seems I just wake him up further and he wants to get up and play. If daddy tries to get him to sleep, he leans over the crib for 20 minutes, half hour, or even up to an hour patting his butt, until he finally falls asleep. We try to take turns, but I always seem to get him more excited. Tonight I tried to intervene and he’s been up almost 2 hours!!!! Does anyone else have this problem? This night time waking is getting crazy hard. I feel like I suck as a mom, because I can’t get my baby back to sleep and just want to cry all the time. Help!!!
