When people say “if someone wants to spend time with you they will find time.”

I’m dating a guy I met late summer and he’s gone to school now and working full time. He also participates in sports. Now it’s like he has no time for me and it hurts because I really enjoyed our time together and would like it to continue. But I’m not trying to seem self centered or selfish.

He says he’s really really exhausted and I don’t think he’s lying but in the back of my head I feel maybe he’s over-exaggerating and maybe just wants to get rid of me and feels that if he tells me that and acts that way that maybe I’ll get sick of it and leave. But I tend to overthink things.

It’s like he makes it seem like he’ll never ever ever have free time again.
