Why isn’t this daycare popular?

Im a FTM & been searching for daycares & I found a really cute, updated, cozy daycare but not a lot of children go there… I went to one that looks like a Walmart, very big, dark not many toys just kinda eh looking & it was packed!!! I was so surprised by this. Both places took state vouchers for daycares im just confused by this and wondering if maybe the smaller cuter ones aren’t the best…? Idk can someone give me advice. This is all new to me

They may have fewer staff and so legally have to have fewer children. They may also have different hours that are less flexible or not as late or early for parents who work different hours. They might cost more without a voucher. Lots of possible reasons.

Maybe it’s newer? We recently moved and I was researching the heck out of daycares. The one we settled on was only recommended by 1 person and didn’t have like any reviews, but I loved my interview and tour so we chose it. It dawned on me later that maybe not many people know about it because the location is only a couple years old and is away from the street.

It’s weird isn’t it. I visited a couple daycares near my house and the one I liked the best was also the cheapest with heaps of availability. Like a lot cheaper and every other daycare has a waiting list. I can’t work it out as the place is gorgeous…. Can’t figure out if I’m missing something :)

It varies on cost and if its an actual daycare or in someones backyard. 
I personally never took my daughter to an at-home daycare. Those were a big nope for me
