Natural or Epidural?

Natural or epidural? What is your choice?

I'm going natural this time. I didn't have a bad experience with the epidural, but I didn't like being numb at all, I didn't like waiting for it to wear off and I had back pain for several weeks after. Not serious but I can't imagine pickin up my ( will be 2.5 month old) with that pain.

I was unsure what to do with my first and once my water broke, I decided to go with the epidural.

​I thought the epidural was fabulous!  I was relaxed and comfortable, totally conscious and overjoyed when my daughter was born. We walked laps around the ward just a few hours afterwards  and never had any side effects.

I had to have a c-section last time because my daughter was breach.  I had wanted to go natural but of course when she was breech, we really had to do a c. The needle for the spinal tap was not my idea of a good time and I don't like the idea of drugging the baby. This time I am going to do a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and go natural if possible.  My boyfriend said last time and this time that he will take the epidural!

Epidural , I say I want a natural birth .. But when those contractions hit I know from experience that epidural is heaven . Although I had what you call a hot spot at the end and felt everything but the pushing .
