Am I The A**hole

So my sister got pregnant at 18, 2 months into her first relationship. She also did not go see a doctor until she was 7 month pregnant. Putting her and the baby at risk. Thankfully, the baby was fine.

But being so young and having no job…. I stepped up to help her and her boyfriend prepare. His family definitely helped too but I spent countless hours and thousands of dollars to get them ready to bring a child into this world.

They moved in together after the baby was born. She still does not work but he works and somehow pays the bills. I still help buy baby supplies here and there when they need it.

Flash forward three months to today. My mom calls me and asks me what time I am getting to my grandpas tomorrow. Confused, I asked “I have plans tomorrow, why are are people going to grandpas? Did I miss something”

Turns out, her boyfriend decided to invite his siblings and parents and her brother and parents and grandparents but did not tell me. Why are they all going… because he his proposing.

Now this boy has my contact information because he has no problem reaching out when they need something.

Now I am her only sister. Supposedly last I heard, the only person she could imagine being her maid of honor. The person who has supported them so much with an unexpected child. Yet, I didn’t get the invite to be included?

Will his brother and sister be there at MY grandpa house, you betcha.

Not a great start into the family if you ask me. I’m pretty pissed I’ve done so much for them and never asked for anything in return. But yet he invited everyone but me.

I told my mom I wasn’t invited and she was like oh he definitely wants you there but was probably nervous to ask you. Like he wasn’t nervous to ask me for an expensive car seat or diaper money. But apparently had enough to buy an expensive ring.

Am I overreacting? I’m pretty hurt
