Remedies for dyshidrotic eczema??

I’ve been struggling with calming my dyshidrotic eczema down. I’ve been using ice to relieve the itching but it comes back within a few mins. I’m out of ointment and with hurricane Ida coming I can’t get in with my dermatologist 🙃

Can your dermatologist just send a prescription for you to the pharmacy? I'd give them a call and ask them to do this and you can ask what other tips they recommend. Otherwise you can buy OTC topical steroids, hydrocortisone, but it's not very potent and might not help much. You can also use plain Aquaphor to help soothe and hydrate.

Aveeno oatmeal bath. Make a paste or fill up a container and soak your hands. Should help calm the itching. I'd follow this up with a thick moisturizing cream like O'Keefe's working hands. Good luck my husband had psoriasis so we have a similar struggle.
