Coffee while breastfeeding ??

I actually continued to drink small lattes randomly throughout my pregnancy since they were under the daily limit of caffeine and my dr gave me the go to. However I was just wondering if other moms still drank coffee while breastfeeding

Girl there was no way I was surviving without coffee with a newborn. I drank a ton. Baby was fine and never had any issues with sleeping. :)

Coffee would lower my supply & I mean LOWER it. Even if it was just half a cup 😩

Mom of 5 here and I’ve nursed all of them. Try not to go over 2 cups a day. Also be mindful of your chocolate and soda intake because they also have caffeine.

I hate coffee, so no. But I continue to have other sources of caffeine

Yup! Have a BIG OLE cup every morning. Wouldn’t have made it this far without it! Apparently some babies can be sensitive to it but it’s not common at all and usually a response to a lactating parent drinking A LOT of caffeine.

I have two cups a day. I don’t think I could survive without it. 😅 
I didn’t drink any coffee when I was pregnant and I think it’s the thing I missed the most. I was so, so, sooooooo excited to have a cup the morning after she was born! The lactation consultant came in just as I was starting to drink it and I asked her if it was okay and she laughed and said absolutely, she’d just recommend not having more than a cup or two and not having it too late in the day because the caffeine could keep baby awake.

I’ve been drinking two cups from the start and my baby is now 4 months old 😄 no issues at all!
