Radon test extremely high!

We live in a basement apartment that’s my parents and they are selling so just had a radon test done and it was 33! Normal is below 4. I’m freaking out because we’ve lived down here with my daughter since she was born and she’s 2 now! I’m so scared she’s gonna get cancer from this exposure that I just can’t stop crying. They didn’t know it was something that was supposed to be checked and hadn’t had it checked since it was built in 2006. So for all I know she’s been exposed to the levels since birth. I’m gonna tell her pediatrician to see if there’s anything we should be doing but I just feel so sick thinking about this. Does anyone know if doctors do anything proactive for known exposure?
