I think of a quote that I will paraphrase from Stalin I believe. One is a tragedy. One million is a statistic. This just means in this context that one wrongful imprisonment will be plastered in the news and 1.5 mil fades in and out if notoriety. It’s so frustrating that this is happening with the Uyghurs and not much has changed.
