Baby rash cream ?!?

This is odd question lol but is it bad leaving the rash cream jar open or with just the lid on top but not closed all the way?? My husband literally got mad this morning because i left it open overnight and i said im sorry then he said its bad and u always leave it with just the cap on, never closed all the way its bad, u should know that. And I literally had no idea and im not sure if its true ?!?
