The amount of downvotes I’ve been getting lately on non-controversial posts have me feeling like Regina George, so I thought I’d check in with other users experiences.

Do you use it? If so, what’s your criteria? Should CC have rules on it? Should they start displaying upvotes/downvotes?

I upvote things I agree with, or find amusing. I try to make a point to upvote new people instead of just other regulars. I like uplifting all the smart funny users on here.

I use downvotes on opinions I find hateful, dangerous, or particularly ignorant. I don’t use it just because I dislike a person. I never use it on Chit Chat. That’s the one place I’d like to see a hard no downvoting rule (unless it’s an inappropriate post or spamming).

I don’t think they should be displayed until the fake upvote glitch is fixed.
