First period after birth super heavy.

Is it normal to bleed a lot when you get your period back? I’m 4 month postpartum and wasn’t really expecting to get my period yet . I’m still breast feeding but I did have to stop for 10 days because I couldn’t breastfeed while on this medication I had to take , but I was pumping . It’s been a couple weeks since and I have been breastfeeding since . I’m bleeding a lot and it’s kinda making me nervous . I usually don’t bleed this much it’s a mess every time I go pee . I’m concerned because I’m also on blood thinners because I have 2 clots . This is the second day now .
