Possible endometriosis
So I’m 25 and have had problems with periods my entire adult life, they are irregular and vary month to month on how heavy they are, in February 2020 i had my first child and breastfed so i didn’t get a period for 6 months right on the dot, but when my period came back they are unbelievably heavy, tmi but i could go through a super plus tampon in one to two hours the first three days which is making it hard to do anything when I’m on my period including work i have to keep extra underwear and pants in my car for when i bleed through not if, when. So last month i went to the doctors because of my periods being so heavy and because it took 3 years to conceive my son and i didn’t want that big of an age gap between my 2 children. When i went they did blood work and an ultrasound to see what was going on and he said my uterus is showing signs of endometriosis but to confirm he wants to do a laparoscopic procedure, I’m honestly terrified of that, I’ve been told i need this procedure before but i didn’t do it, the first time i was told i had a softball sized cyst. I get cysts in my breasts as well and have one right now that they want to surgically remove but i also don’t want to do that. My doctor said he is willing to let me try clomid for 3 months but if it doesn’t work i will have to seriously consider the procedure but he’s not willing to try the medication for more than 3 months
Basically the reason i am making this post is to get feedback from people how have had this surgery before on what it was like.
