We are staying at a resort for 4 nights. It’s very large, and on the surface, it appears nice. However, when you look at it closer, things are outdated and kind of gross. We only paid $200/night, which is a good deal for the area and amount of space. However, when we arrived, I immediately had to vacuum because the carpet hadn’t been cleaned at all. It’s old carpet, but it could have been vacuumed at least. The surfaces were not wiped and were grimy. I killed THREE bugs within the first hour. The sheets were stained and very very thin.

I posted my experience and disappointment on a local group for vacationers. Several people said I was just being cheap or I had unrealistic expectations. I was called a Karen. I feel like it’s reasonable to expect a decent level of cleanliness? I never contacted management. I vacuumed the floor myself and cleaned the Surfaces myself. I just wanted to leave an honest review for future travelers.
