*covid related
Ok… this post isn’t about your opinion on covid or vaccination or any of that. Just a situation I want to run by you guys and see what you think. I work for a preschool and today we found out that a child in the 4yr old room tested positive. The director claims she spoke to DHEC and was told all the children who were at school Friday have to quarantine and be tested in order to return. She then said the two teachers that were in the class with the child for 8 hours were fine, didn’t have to quarantine or be tested BECAUSE they have been vaccinated. Then one of the teachers was sent to work in the 2 yr old room while the other drove the bus to pick up public school kids and ran the door for parents picking up. Now I fully understand that being vaccinated can lower your chances and all BUT I’ve also heard that it does not 100% keep you from getting or spreading the virus. So what do you guys think? In my opinion the teachers should have still been tested in order to stay at work with all the other children. I am posting anomalously because this is my job I’m speaking of. I REALLY don’t want this to become a big argument about covid or vaccinations. Just want some opinions on IF you think this situation was handled the right way.
