Vaccine when your 23-26weeks?

Question

So some nurse told me I would need a vaccine when I'm 23-26 weeks pregnant, but not sure if I should since my doctor hasn't mentioned anything to me. And my mom said she never had any vaccines while she was pregnant. Anyone know?

You should get a flu shot whenever it's available and the tdap between 32-36 weeks

Sounds like either the flu shot or the tdap. My mom didn't get it either with any of us. But it's been 14 years since she had a kid. And a lot happens in 14 years. Good news tho! It's pretty standard now. :)

I got my flu shot at 18 weeks, and my Dtap yesterday at 29 weeks. It wasn't a "thing" when I was pregnant 8 years ago. But it's something they are recommending now. Each pregnancy is recommended to get both vaccines. So if you are pregnant next year, it'll be offered again. Of course, the flu shot would only be if you are pregnant during flu season.

Never had any when I was that many weeks . What vaccine is she talking about ?

I got a flu shot around 28 weeks and my tdap around 33 weeks. I had to remind my doc. Some of the antibodies pass into the baby to keep him/her somewhat protected until they get their vaccine. Anyone that will be around the baby a lot (caregiver) should also get it
