Anyone have experience with low platelets (gestational thrombocytopenia or ITP)? Mine are declining about 5k every 4 days. As of Friday I was down to 87k. Im having bloodwork repeated every Wednesday. Im 35 weeks and scheduled for c section on 10/1 (VBAC is not a safe option for me). I know I’ll likely have to go under general anesthesia, just curious if anyone has been through this and what your delivery was like if you had to go this route. How long was it before you saw baby? Was dad/partner allowed in the delivery room? We’re they able to see baby any sooner than you? I think I’m just worried about my little vulnerable babe being without mommy and daddy for her first few hours of life.

I’ve been a mess since I found all of this out. I know they will do whatever is safe for both of us, just looking to get experiences. ♥️♥️
