Not so happy hour

I’m about 12 weeks pregnant and haven’t really been mums the word about it nor have I been social media public. It’s exciting because this week l’m definitely starting to show a little. Most of my friends know the news.

I recently made plans to do a happy hour with some girlfriends one of which I haven’t seen in a few months. In the time since I last saw her she’s experienced a 1st trimester miscarriage 3 months ago and has been having a really rough time trying to conceive. It’s been bad. my other friend who invited me cautioned me not to talk too much about my news around her (like obviously 🙄) but her telling me that had me second guessing if it was even appropriate for me to go. I mean it’s happy hour I’m obviously not going to drink and I’m not about to lie about my situation either. But if I go I’m obviously not going to make it the center of the nights conversation either. Anyone have advice? Should I just sit this one out?
