Can a person be stink and not be able to smell themselves?

My daughter told me that a person at school told her she smells bad. I smelt her once she came home and she literally smelt fine. Nothing offensive or abnormal. She doesn’t smell anything on herself either. I told her not to listen to what people say, but she is mortified. Because of that situation, she thinks that people are talking about her at school, but I think she may be a little paranoid. She literally doesn’t smell like anything to me. I don’t know what to do to help her. She’s sad and doesn’t want to go to school. I offer perfume but she thinks that the perfume won’t mix well with her chemistry if she is a stinky person (which she isn’t). No one in our household thinks she smells bad.
