Day Old Funk

So my husband is a tennis instructor and is on the courts all day every day. My problem is that I hate sweaty stinky sex and despite my request for him to take a shower before engaging he wants to go right for it. That's when I feel horrible because I am severely disgusted and turned off by his day old work funk. I have done the whole let's take a shower together thing but he literally falls asleep after the shower (poor thing).

If you were in my shoes would you be able to suck it up and have regular stinky day funk sex?
