how to get over a breakup?

So I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years before my second year of college. I didn’t do it for “the college experience”. I did because he cheats and lies. He’s hurt me so much mentally and emotionally but I can’t get over it. It’s been a month but he’s already posting with other girls and Im still crying about it. I didn’t break up with him because i wanted to but because i couldn’t move four hours away and keep being lied to. I love him but he says “he wants to try to move on but doesn’t want me to move on. that he’s going to want me back one day”. 
someone please tell me how to get over this

This guy doesn't love you. And he certainly isn't worth your love. Use this love for yourself amd sort yourself out don't hang onto people that are not making you happy, or in this case can't even respect you.
