FUNDRAISER CREATOR REFUSES TO REFUND ME

IF YOU HAVE TIME FOR PETTY DRAMA

I know this is petty but I just want to know what can be done, if anything, about this. It's also a rant, kinda. Please be nice(:

I donated to a tiktok fundraiser via fundly (I know, it's risky) on a cause I've been following for a while now for a child's support animal that was allegedly stolen by the neighbours and they refuse to give him back. Being the sleuth I am, I found the neighbours and contacted them asking them of their side, with a grain of salt obviously. They said the cat, Ollie, was returned to her already. I commented on her video asking her what the money was for and that I wasn't accusing her of lying, but they said they gave Ollie back and quoted verbatim what was said. She immediately got defensive and said I was being rude and that I should message people privately before assuming and confusing people. I saw nothing wrong with what I said, and she came at me really harshly which turned me off.

That video ended up disappearing, and given that she was condescending to me previously, I commented on a recent video of hers asking if the video was deleted and that it was making me suspicious. Bad idea because this sent her off the rails. She said people were speculating her (noone was) and that it was my fault and my "misleading" comments. But again, I never accused her of anything. I donated 20 dollars to her cause so I don't feel wrong in politely asking. She made a whole video about it saying people were "accusing her of lying", that being me and just passive aggressive in general. Well I asked for a refund in the comments as I did not feel comfortable supporting them anymore and her and her boyfriend basically gaslit me the whole time. Said I needed to get a hobby and I had "donation remorse" and that I should have thought things through before donating. I was then blocked. She also messaged me on Instagram earlier after I gave her my info to find me on fundly to initiate the refund. She refused to give me it and said she would donate to an animal charity of my choice. And I was like no thank you, I would rather have my money back. I just feel taken advantage of. They are okay with bullying people and holding their money over their head but can take their money easily. I'm so disappointed but lesson learned.

Did not feel like I was accusatory at all. Made a point to tell her I wasn't saying she was lying but confused

Defending myself and explaining that noone was confused as the comments were all support. The actual mean comments looked like trolling. Possibly the

neighbors as they do watch her videos.

Here she is trying to be "nice" and "compromise" by continuing to refuse my requests to just give me a refund. Says she's a great listener but will not give me what I truly want.
