When does the 2nd Trimester Start?

Between apps, the OBGYN, and the internet I cannot get a straight answer!!

Maternal fetal medicine doctors told me (and my OBs) that it is technically about 13w2d. Making each trimester come out to 39w6d and due date the next day.

My maternal fetal medicine doc kind of chuckled when I asked because it seems to be a common disagreement. He told me we will go by 13 weeks as the second trimester but 12,13, 14 aren’t technically wrong answers either lol.

I considered myself in the second trimester at 14 weeks. And ill consider myself in my 3rd trimester when i hit 28 weeks!
