How do you quit your job?

So I’m contemplating on quitting my at Dunkin Donuts but this is my first job so I don’t really know how to do that. I have really bad anxiety to so that’s not very helpful. Also before anyone says anything I know somewhere else where I want to apply that’s closer to my house. Thank you in advance.

Wait until you’ve locked in the next job and then put in your two weeks notice. There is no shame in switching jobs. Just part of adulthood babe.

Personally I’d wait until you’ve been offered a job at the other place before quitting. Then once you have that offer and estimated start date I’d hand in your “Two weeks notice” at the place you currently work can be written, email, or just a convo depending on how comfortable you are with your boss. They may not ask or want you to work the two weeks but it’s common courtesy to give the 2 weeks that way they have time to prep for your leaving.

I’ve always typed up a letter giving my two weeks notice and handed it to the manager. It doesn’t have to be long. Something to the effect of: Thank you for the opportunity to work here, but the job no longer suits my needs. My last day will be ___.
