Day care issues

Hey all, my daughter is going to be 15 months old soon. She just started day care last week, at a day home. In my province, it's hard to find a center that will take kids under 18 months so we ended up finding a private care home. Our only problem is the fact that this lady does not update us really. So for example, last week when I picked up my daughter, I only got a detailed update when I prodded her for one on day 2. Otherwise she is very vague and says oh her day was good. I found out on the 2nd day of daycare, that the day before my baby only napped for 10 mins. Which happens but still that would've maybe been good to tell me the day of. Same kind of thing happened today. My girl had a meltdown when I dropped her off, and this girl has a policy of parents keeping drop offs short to avoid confusing the child and let her console them. Well, I left with my daughter crying and then this day care worker messaged me later a photo of my daughter and basically just said don't worry, she is doing good. Ok cool. So then I went to pick her up this evening and asked 1) did she nap and how long 2) how was her day. And this day care worker had my daughter ready to go at the door when I showed up, handed her to me, and proceeded to ignore my questions and just kept saying bye to my girl, and like shooed us out of her house. So I later messaged her the same questions and she left my message on read. Am I being unreasonable by asking for updates? Or is this day care maybe just not the right fit for us? I don't know what to do. Help
