My son bites me at least once a day. He is 10 months old and has 8 teeth. This is not during breastfeeding, just on random parts of my body at random times.

He broke skin on my leg through leggings and today he bit my arm so bad it bruised right away. Just now while going down for bedtime with his bottle he bit my shoulder.

I use a stern voice and say “no biting, we do not bite each other” with a frowning face. Sometimes he just laughs and other times he just looks at me blankly…

How do we teach kids not to bite when they can’t even talk yet? Or understand that they are physically hurting you? And when do they start to care that they’ve hurt you?
