What are people’s thoughts on known names with unique spellings?

Like Jessika instead of Jessica, Lorin instead of Lauren, Kathryn instead of Katherine/Catherine, etc. nothing outrageous but just slightly different to the norm.

The child will forever be telling ppl how to spell their name or having it spelt wrongly on things

If you want your baby to have an unique name- chose an unique name. Look for spanish/italian/hawaian names. Or greek... whatever. Just find beautiful name you like and the baby will have to spell it anyway... but at least he/she want get wrong written name everywhere (like on a mug or something)

No. I have a differently spelled name. Kids hate it. It’s really annoying. They’ll make sure to mispronounce it on purpose. Teachers will get confused. Your kid Probly will get frustrated. It’s just not worth it.

I’m all for different spellings. I have to correct people all the time. My name is Alexus but ppl spell it Alexis, Alexsus, Alex 🤷🏽‍♀️ different spellings will only make the person more memorable in my opinion. How many Jessika’s do you know 🤷🏽‍♀️

As someone with an incredibly difficult and unique spelling to a very common name, I actively choose to go by my nickname. 
I missed out on all the pre-personalized things. I constantly have to correct people, which is awkward every time, and it makes a Google search for me insanely easy. 
My kids have somewhat off-beat names, but nothing outlandish like my full name.

Coming from a person with a unique spelt name. Don't do it to your child. They will never find their names on souvenirs at the gift shop. Starbucks will misspell their names forever. The list goes on
