Some pain left after UTI?
So I had a UTI about two weeks ago I went into the urgent care as this is only my second UTI in my life. I had a UTI once before and the main symptom I had was discomfort while urinating this time however I had my period when I suspect the UTI was already present and instead of painful urination I had back pain which I thought was associated with my period as that is a common symptom for me I say this because the night before I went to the urgent care is when I had painful urination which I thought I was getting treated as soon as I possibly could though it turns out after I got my urinary analysis back at the urgent care the doctor said that I had significant amounts of blood in my urine but there also was a UTI and they gave me the normal anabiotic‘s for it however a few days after I completed my antibiotics for the UTI I started having back pain again like I did the first time so I went back to the urgent care because I was worried that I actually A kidney infection instead of a UTI so they did another urinary analysis and found out that I do not have any of the signs of a UTI in my urine but I did have significant amount of blood but the doctor prescribed me a higher dose of antibiotics that is usually used for kidney infections and sent my urine out for culture well I just heard back today that there was no sign of a UTI anymore and then my culture seems normal and that I should contact my primary care doctor which I already have an appointment set for but it will not be until next month I do not experience much back pain anymore and I still am taking the course of antibiotics prescribed to me by the doctor as I asked if I should continue and they said yes but I still get some pain after urinating it’s not severe and it tends to go away pretty easily but I’m just very confused on what my issue might be as it still feels something is wrong.
My mother thought that maybe I had kidney stones but I can’t imagine that’s the case because I am someone who drinks tons of water all of the time and I’ve heard people describe kidney stones as being the worst pain in history and although I’ve had pain it is not nearly that severe
Have you experienced continuing pain after a uti? Maybe not severe but did It take a bit for it to go away fro you?
I know that I have to go to the doctors to really figure out what’s wrong with me but I figured maybe putting a post out will have some people who experience similar things let me know what their issues were
